The 2015 Tamaulipas International Festival landed in Reynosa, and honestly? I had no idea what was coming my way. Looking back now—through the slightly blurry lens of memory—I realize things didn’t go half bad for a first-timer. Not bad at all, actually.
Somehow, I found myself photographing Raquel Garza and Beatriz Moreno in Volando al Sol, Amaury Gutiérrez, Fato, Palenque Rojo from Chiapas, María Inés Montilla, and even the National Ballet of Uruguay, just to name a few. Casual. Very casual.
Most of those photos—and their edits—came courtesy of pure sweat, adrenaline, and questionable life choices. I vividly remember editing straight from my phone, racing against time, Wi-Fi, and my own inexperience, trying to deliver everything as fast as humanly possible. Glamorous? Not exactly. Effective? Absolutely.
And somewhere between rushing edits and figuring it out as I went, I started to loosen up. Slowly, awkwardly—but undeniably—I was finding my rhythm. 📸✨
